  • Sound Clip of the 3400+ (Station TO Warp1)

Well I know that we 60V6 pushrod people seem like we stand in the shadows of other engines from GM. Relative to our engine familly almost everyone with a TDC seems to enjoy the sound of their motor...................................... . They also seem to flaunt the fact that they can run up 6500-7000+ RPM............................... Anyways I got alittle treat for all of you Pushrodders. Heres a sound clip of my 3400+ going from 0 to 100mph(or for all you trekkies out there station to warp1 You'll notice a rush of air, almost like a whistel, that's the 62mmTB. Also the mechanical sounds is the valvetrain. Another slight whine is the transaxle drive chain, also you'll notice a lag in the take off, that's just a bunch of wheel spin. Also the rev limiter is attacked at the 1-2 shift at about 6500-7000 RPM. Now from my can of Sanka to your ears, enjoy the fierce yet classic signature rockcrushing sounds, and vile growl of what we know as the Chevrolet Pushrod 60V6.

Also note: Turn down your treble a bit if you can. Also note WOT is not tuned.....In fact its alittle too rich these days amoungst other things...lol The sound is remenisant of Chris Williams 3.2 Hybrid, only lower key.

Compared to the stock TB, this 62mm that I have in particular whistles pretty loud, despite the coffee can and muffler on the airduct. In fact on the highway I can even hear it as I change throttle angles. Not that I mind at all. At cruise it adds almost a jetliner esque hum to it all....I have to say all the unique sounds my driveline makes is rather interesting...to the point of being entertaining....I never noticed most of this stuff til recently.
