    5.0 heads Ive done

From the 5.0 heads you can get an Idea on how
the casting is removed in the cc chambers ( harder with cast iron) and polished.
Get the Standard Abrasives Polishing kit and A DELUXE KIT.

The exhaust ports are where you want to do most of your work.
After porting them on the high side and then the passageway polish them up just like the cc chambers.

On a N/A 272 cam engine you dont need to do too much grining in the runner
and the finish should be left semi rough to aid in atomazation. But you should do some grinding
in the bowl under the valve seat.

When you buy the Standard abrasives kit it will include detailed instructions. Hint Hint.
Just dont grind the hump in the intake to much, you can shape it a little bit and small cartridge roll the sides and four conrners.
Lastly gasket match the intake and cylender head runners.

The top heads are from a 2.8 but are on the wild side. Look how big the exhaust ports are. Youd need at least a 1 5/8" primary to work with that.
Dont go wild , and research techniques.

      OMG!
It looks like those heads were raped repeatedly by a die grinder.
170 cfm on the intakes, 200 cfm on the exhausts maybe.
416streets it looks like you riped apart the exhaust port way more than
I ever would I like it, from what I can tell it looks like you realy attecked the vane more than I did.
I think I took out more iron around the valve guides.
Are your heads for N/A or may be nitrous???
What do the chambers look like?? Is that the same heads further back up this thred?
I kept my exhasut ports small but open for high port velocity to drive a turbo on each side of the engine.
I did not mess with the quinch aera because I need to mix the A/F good plus I didn't want to drop the C/r any
more than I all ready have.

Hi Seth , no the second set of heads are a set done by BOB Mccray for a roller camed sprint/baja racing application.
Mine are the first set and are nowhere near as extensively hogged as thoose Mccrays.
I run a roots blower so the intake side was not as important to me as the cc chamber and the exhaust side.
I welded in egr block offs on mine but did so at the manifold mounting area not inside the bowl like yours.
I didnt feel like doing that much welding.

I run flatops and wanted my cc chambers free from hot spots , wanted little shrouding. I run nitrous and a blower.

Here are the MCCRAYS with the shaft rockers , I bought the shaft rockers but dont run them on this engine , I might buy the jesel shaft rockers for this engine if i BUY A SOLID CAM.

Hey 614. So what is the current status of your truck? Is it drivable yet? Just wondering I always see this crazy engine and always wonder what kind of power it is laying down.

It runs full closed loop on the commander pro and te wideband and it decently tuned as of now but it is in storage up in ohio.

Ouch I dont like the bend that throttle cable makes. Looks streched. But that aside that engine looks killer.

Yeah, I'm looking at the pic too, it might just be the angle, it probably veers down some and makes it look like a sharp bend. That's a sweet looking motor though.
