okay... i realise that swapping your heads for better ones is the way to go if you have a 3x00... what im wondering is what eles you have to change besides the heads and maifold... do your headers have to change...chip...ect...?

Yes use 3X00 manifolds the chip in your 3.1L will be fine. Use your 3.1L injectors in the 3X00 fuel rails. EGR will be another issue.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma

When I said manifold I meant exhaust manifold. Use the 3X00 one. GM engines dont have "headers" they have manifolds.
Headers are tubular. Manifolds are cast single pieces.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma

The new intakes will not allow the old egr valve to directally mount. You will need an adaptor plate. Alot of people just block it off.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma
