How high can a TBI 2.8 safely rev? Also what's the

I have a 91 s10 with a a 2.8 and have been pushing it very very hard. Revving it to almost 7k nearly every day. What valvetrain upgrades are recommended for these engines

I'm strictly talking ohv v6s. If I want a good ohc v6 I'll get a duratec 3.0

You would have to put some serious work into that 2.8L to make power at that RPM. Before I moved to the 3X00 motors I had massaged the 2.8L a fair amount and it stopped making power at 6k. You definitely need better valve springs even at 6k.
