Understand, have never seen a stock one with sidedrafts. But may have used the stock fuel pump wiring. When I had dual quads on my H-body I had to add a prime button else the start took forever.
One week to the next race.
I had to pull out the transmission.
Weird noices coming out from the clutch (inside bell housing).
The 2-disc clutc was assembled the wrong way.
One of the two center plates was in the wrong position.
But now everything seems to be OK.
The V6 engine was running all right now.
I had some minor problems with other things, no big deal.
But I am quite satisfied with the result.
I am busy with my business , I mean with my work, I give a race report later.
Is that a new hood? Do the vents work?
Did the track ever dry out?
Almost seems that you like the thrill of the chase. You just rip the track up when doing so.

car sounds awesome, and appears to be one of the faster cars on your track, you caught back up pretty quick after the spin-out.

I give you a short report of the first race week end of this season . 2 race week end.
I qualified 4th to the first race.
But unfortunately one throttle linkage came loose in the first lap.
I had to discontinue the race after the first lap.
One carb operates only , half of the hp was gone.
The engine took only 5000 rpm.
Starting order to the second race was according to the first race lap times.
You can see the video in YouTube (as I linked before).
I had to start the race in the back row.
It was quite easy to over take the backmarkers.
I made one mistake, spin-out.
But I made the quickest lap time in the second race.
The 2.8 V6 engine is working allright now.
No oil leaks, no weird sounds, lots of power.
The day after tomorrow, I have dyno time.
Different dyno place than I have visited earlier.
The dyno guy is the best carb expert here.
So I expect to get the carbs working all right.
