all bark no bite
just got finished rebuilding 3400 for 92 corsica .little thumper cam from ben ,ported upper and lower ,heads have ls spings ,seats and seals from ben ,3 angle vavle job,65 mm tb, WOT-TECH swap chip ,22.5 injectors ,2 1/2 " exhaust .car runs and revs great in park but when driven it worse than stock 2.8 .my question is will stock fuel pump keep up with this engine.

Is the ses light on? Is the ks hooked up or is the correct ks installed? What fpr is the chip tuned for and what fpr do u have in place? What fuel pressure readings are you seeing ?Lifting my front wheels, one jack at a time. -
its 55psi, fuel pressure seeem to jump around a little when reving ,the only code was iat ,only because it wasn't hook up ,ks is from the 3.1 engine ,crazy thing is this the second 3400 engine in this car the first one was stock, put it in a 2000 ga runs great ,did the new engine for the corsica ,it slower than the stock3400 and 3.1. I also changed tranny and converter now it has 2700 stall and 306 fd.Comment

Physical timing set correctly? Is there a cat on it? Maybe plugged? You by chance using the external crank trigger (shouldn't need to tho) ? If so it might be bumped outta range slightly.Lifting my front wheels, one jack at a time.Comment

no cat ,new 2 1/2" timing is set at stock specs .engine is just flat like a plugged conv. would do .IT seem as if the fuel pump can't keep up with the engine. running stock fuel pump .thanks for the feed backComment

If its not a custom tune for those mods, then its not going to run very well. The 3400 swap chip isn't for a little thumper cam. Your fueling is based on vacuum, which is significantly different than the stock cam.Last edited by SappySE107; 09-17-2014, 09:05 AM.Ben

don't have the equipment to data logg just yet ,will have by next week though .car run fine under normal driving ,its just at wot .just did 3400 swap and 3.33 fd on 96 z26 car runs strong ,just want to straighten things out before the engine build on this car is finished witch has already beganComment
