i am geting a 84 fiero v6. i want to drop in a 3.4 from a 93-95 camaro. but i want to do a carb conversion. what intake would be best and what carb cfm. milage dosent really mater as long as above 15. witch should be easy in a 2600lb car. also i will be doing a complete stock rebuild of the motor including everything but a few small parts. using a master kit. i will do a full port/polish as well as headers desinged for the car. electric fuel pump. so any intake carb ideas?

These two things are quite often mutually exclusive.

If you want high milage keep the EFI, or use a better ECM, that has more control.

No idea, I inject everything I own. Never much cared for carbs.

all 1984 fiero's were 2.5l iron dukes. either your's has been swapped, or isn't an 84.

there aren't many carb options out there, edlebrock used to make a carb manifold, not sure if they still do...

There is no way a Fiero with a properly tuned carburetted 3.4L wouldn't get more than 15MPG... unless your pedal is stuck to the floor.

Still available brand new, 2.8L stuff at the top will work on the 3.4L as well...

Ty that is what I needed! A link ty! Now as I said it is going to be a corner carver not a 1/4 mile car so should I do a 390 com 2 barrel or a 390 4?

So would it be easier to get a intake off a carb 2.8 and a new carb?

I don't think it would be easier but it sure would be cheaper. Any S-10 before 86 had a carb so you can grab one from a junkyard. If a FWD car intake layout works better then you can grab on from a car of the same vintage.

I really don't care just as long as it works. I am also going to do a custom twin intake using the fi-air-I scoops if I can get a set used. I love the way they look. I will get a used intake but what about carb? Edelbrock reccomends a 390cfm but I don't know if I should use a 2 or 4

Assuming both carbs are rated for 390 cfm, the 4-barrel will be easier to manage in traffic than the 2-barrel. But the 2-barrel will probably be better for racing.

Also, keep in mind the Edelbrock intake will flow better (i.e. better performance) than a stock carb intake.
