  • more power from a 3100

new guy here, i have a 3100 malibu, it has a ported 54 mm intake from a 3400, ported upper and lower intakes, fuel pressure regulator from a 3400, air intake and 2 1/4 cat back exhaust, down pipie is stock... which is in the works to be upgraded to 2 1/4 piping to match the cat back. I need a tune to pass emissions and get more HP, maybe a walbro fuel pump upgrade, ive been told to upgrade my springs to LS6 and get a cam but dont know how to pick cams

what can i do to get more power? any suggestion or ideas would be awesome.

Nitrous wet system coupled with higher compression might get you where you want to be on a stock tune.

Talk to Ben from WOT-Tech. He has a cam selection service. His screen name on here is SappySE107.

          goals? budget?

staying N/A, cam, heads, compression.... you've done most everything else.

That makes a cam option very limited unless the OP is willing to tune.

goals? im trying to get at least 200 hp, as of now limited to almost no budget, im looking to tune when i get a cam with my tax return. As far as higher compression how can i achieve that, besides pistons and or having my heads machined.

Sell it and buy a a BMW E46. About 200hp from the 328i, available 5-speed, RWD, fantastic cars.

Cam, headers, ported intakes, TB, CAI, tune, and 50 shot. That should put you over 200 at the wheels.

where can I get a tune, the car needs it. The car hasnt been running right after all the mods I did to it, it wont pass inspection runs too lean, and then goes to being too rich. Is there any way I can tune it myself?

We can tune the PCM but need to know what that 3400 FPR is as far as year. There is no difference between a 3100 and a 3400 regulator. Year is what matters. Other than that, nothing you currently have should be causing you any issues.
