  • Motor question

I'm about to lock down a motor for my van

I'm wondering is there any differences between my 2003 motor and a Montana 2006 motor?

Is a 2006 motor different at all? Or does it bolt right in just use my wiring harness?

    Thanks!

2006 is a 3500. I do not think a 3500 was made in 2003 only 3400. Of you have a 3400 most likely you will have to get a trigger wheel and what ever else is needed for a 3500 swap. Some here should be able to help you. 3500 is an amazing engine with tons of potential.

      not interested in 3500's...

i like being able to just straight swap the motor
and not have to worry bout extra stuff...

thanks for answering the question tho i was also under the impression that 2006 3400 dosent exist...
guys says its a 3400 tho... gonna have to see it i guess

but any 3400 is direct swap tho right any 97-2005 3400 should use the same wiring harness correct?

      thanks

Look at the crank sensor in the middle of the block not the harmonic balancer. If its two wire your golden. If 3 wires , crank is different.
