    Stock pistons are alreay cast aluminum, and the stock rods are forged. I agree balancing is a good idea.

        Oh really. My bad. If you want to go the extra mile destress those rods and have them shot-peened. The rods take the most beating out of all the engine parts because of acceleration/deceleration. Shot-peen the crank too if you have the dough. I think this engine can take 8000-9000 rpm's depending on the build. I'm not joking either. They do it with 90 deg. small-blocks. I have no doubt ours can do it also. Of course they have 4.56 gears or more. That also would require a pro-stock type of manifold. A big hole in the hood.
