Well I sold my Grand Prix, after it are 5 transmissions, and inherited a Buick century in great shape..

It sadly runs nothing at all like my GP did

I am looking to upgrade the size of the throttle body,This is a 3400,and for some reason it has a 52mm tb on it,I took it off,and measured,I was kind of shocked cause,I thought 2000+ had 56mm on them..

I would like to put a 56mm or 62mm on the damn thing,I am going to the bone yard in the morning.. I've searched on here, and google alot,I think there needs to be a stick Tb thread..

What cars might I be looking at in the yard that would have either of these two options?

My other issue is line pressure on the transmission,I would like to be able to adjust the voltage to the epc solenoid, but cant find the correct wiring diagram for that trans, the ones I have found the connector is the same, but the colors/pin codes dont match my car for shit..

Those are my two major concerns right now, bugs the hell out of my how gm programmed these damn century's I mean we wouldn't want granny peeling tires,or feeling any torque,lol..

I tried to put a 00' GP ecm in,yeah... the part numbers and all matched, but I am guessing passkey II or w/e wouldn't allow it to start,I damn sure am not against changing the ecm out either,Just need the slug to run a bit better..

EDIT: Found someone saying a stock GA is 58mm,any of you guys confirm?

    Thanks
    Russ

WOT tech sells and adapter plate to adapt the LX5 "shortstar" 65 MM throttle body to the 3400 plenum.

Thanks for the reply,Yeah I am aware of the WOT stuff,But I was hoping to get something today at the bone yard, figured there should be something off one of these GM cars that is larger, and bolt right up..

I really want to know about the trans epc,I would love to get the line pressure up,I can make a variable setup for line pressure if I just knew which wired went to it..

My work van has the line pressure up via the epc,and the shop did that,Even for a E150,it still breaks them loose in the ran into 2nd 3rd,and will set you sideways, its been like that for years,so I assume,I can get away with that sort of mod on a Buick.

I'm interested in the 1.9 rockers you list in your sig!!

do you have a DHP or HPT? you should be able to adjust line pressure through either of those, or Tiny tuner.

as far as I'm aware, there is no bolt on and go junkyard throttle body.

Is this one of those weird TB's that you can do anything with?
95 Beretta 3100 with 3400 intakes and TCE TB
High flow cat and a Magnaflow muffler

line pressure is vacuum controlled. You can get an adjustable vacuum modulator for your 4T60E. All 3100 are 52mm. All 3400 are 56mm.

This particular vehicle doesnt have the vacuum line pressure modulator,It's got to have an epc.. On my work can,I can add voltage to the epc,and get a hell of a shit,I assume this car has to be the same..

                00' century 3100
I assume 4t65e,the pan isnt marked..

My 95' Gp had the modulator.. I wish this buck did have that, would make it easy..
Guess I will get the ohm meter out and figure it out this weekend.. I think that PC valve, there is a low and a high input, and I think around 5 volts.. I hate to shim out the accumulator if I dont have too, although the way it shifts into second I am sure the 2nd gear spring is broken.. I'll fix it later, not a whole lot of WOT going on at this point..

there are tables in the tune to adjust max line pressure with, I would avoid trying to do it with some wire trickery...

I noticed the newer w body codes have line pressure so perhaps a reflash will be able to improve your shift pressure after all.
