  • Anyone interested in a reground cam for 3100 (94-96 ATM)?

Ok, I'm finally ready to get this going. With the help of Blackbombshell I've managed to price out the entire cost of getting these reground cams going. The grind is streetable but will result in a small lope at idle and some idling issues when first starting the car when warm. However, once going, it won't die in traffic, even when coming to a stop again. I still use mine as a daily driver and haven't had any problems with it (except for the ones we caused ourselves ).

Specs are: 210 deg intake / 210 deg exhaust, .300"/.300" lift at lobe with 112 deg lobe seperation. With 1.52 stamped rockers you will see .460" of lift (94-95), with 1.6 roller rockers you should see closer to .480" (96).
The cam profile is designed to have a strong powerband from 1500-4500 RPMs but I can vouch for the fact that its still pulling strong when my poor transmission slams into the next gear.

Cost for the grind will be $120 shipped. I will however refund $25 of that for your old roller cam core returned to me, as this is how much it costs to buy cam cores from a local supplier.
Please PM me or email me at redchocobo1@comcast.net if you are interested and I will have a cam done for you. I wanted to add that I won't charge you until the cam is in my hands ready to ship. SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY PLEASE because otherwise I'm out the cost of the grind.

    That's pretty cheap...

I would be interested. Can you put more duration and widen the LSA? I think 220 deg. @ 114 would wake the engine up. I'm sure it could pass smog too. Tell me what you think.

Without some serious modification to the cam (which could cause the lobe to become unseated from the shaft), there is no way to increase the LSA.

Chris's (listed at the very bottom) is probably as radical as you can go.

So far the above listed grind is the only grind he's done for me. He borrowed that profile from the stock grind for an LT1 which has the same duration but different lift settings. It was close to what I wanted to get, so we went with it.

Please email me if you'd like me to set things up and get some more cores done. I don't know how long it'll take to get some more cores, but I'm putting together a list of how many I need.

I have a 1995 Beretta by the way. I'm not sure what ATM means. I will buy one if you grind it...wait...that sounds bad.
