i don't know of anyone who has passed emissions with swaping in a 3400 in older cars 2.8/3.1s. well it can be done. also i do not have an EGR at all.
for anyone wondering, I used my 2.8 ECU and 2.8 INJECTORS. i used to run my 3400 injectors thinking it would help, and those were causing me to BOG and fail emissions really BAD. also slowing me down. car dose not seem to be running lean at all. i hooked my car up to a scaner to check.
HC .3055 limit is .800 used to be 8.XXX ( with 3400 injectors)
CO 3.0560 limit is 15.000 used to be in the 60.XXX( with 3400 injectors)
NOx 1.6834 limit is 2.000 was about the same
i cut it close on NOx but i still passed.
so if your running 3400 injectors with no special chip i recommend using your stock injectors. unless you don't need emissons then your just lucky and i hate you. LOL . I own an 89 beretta but im sure this would work with all 2.8 or 3.1s i don't think 3100s have this problem.
I hope i help somone out if they are having these same problems
