    3900 lz9
    224mm (8.8189 in) deck height
    99mm bore (3.9 in)
    84mm stroke (3.31 in)
    150mm rod length (5.9 in)

Available compression height is: rod length+ 1/2 stoke - Deck height.

32mm ( 1.25984 inch)left for compession height (piston pin center to piston top).
Joseph Upson quoted 1.305 inch ,(33.147mm) and 18cc dish stock piston .942 pin 420 grams.

So I guess they extend out side the deck by a millimeter and a hair.
I've included the bore size and other info just for reference incase.

    3500 lz4
    99mm bore 3.9in
    76mm stroke 3.0 in
Same deck height of 224mm 8.8189 in
36mm (1.41732) left for compression height.... so 37.147mm?

Just calculating what my combo will be. I'ts late so I'll figure something out tomorrow.

one thing I can't find is the stock cc of the cylinder head chamber for the lz9 and if the lz4 is the same. I found the lx9 3500 at 32.4cc but if i enter that the compression is sky high.
Playing with the compression calculator i get 52cc to get the compression down to 9.8:1 using stock lz9 dimensions. Am I close?
