shopping around for headgaskets for the Fiero when I saw this





I intended to run the MLS gaskets on the 3500, but the pistons I already bought are for a .030 overbore... any ideas?

Use stockers. They are pretty damn strong in my opinion.

I'm sure you can get them in an overbore. Ben can probably find out. They will be special order and probably non returnable.
I know at the big car shows like Carlisle PA they have SBC/Ford etc in larger bore sizes up to .060 over depending on the engine

is your shortblock being built right now? What is the bore of the motor that is currently being put in?

the motor is bored .030 over, bore is 3.73" (94.74 MM) can stock gaskets still be used?

i just measured a used stock GM gasket at 3.76".

well, then it sounds like that should be adequate. anyone have a part number for the GM Graphite gaskets?

Why would you need to? Unless your are blowing mls 3 layer gaskets I see no benefit.
You can also use a copper gasket.

I say you o ring it. It is necessary for 400 hp. You gonna be using titanium retainers? You should if not

No, it is not necessary for 400 hp and titanium retainers are certainly not necessary. If titanium valves aren't necessary, there is no way the retainers are.

95mm is the largest bore size cometic made. You want .010" larger than actual bore size min.
