WOW! I knew there was a difference but I didn't think that much! That's what I hate about GM service info, they give you just enough specs to fix the damn things but nothing more. Yeah, I had no intention of doing a gen III J-body, I like the 2 way better. It was just an idea I threw out there. With these 3500 swaps, do you program your own chip or does someone make one? My other idea was, if I don't use the LH0 block, getting an LG8 3100 (since it's the identical top end to the 3400), rebuilding with the flat top pistons and using a good cam. Then I realized that even stock, the LG8 would have to gain about 30 horsepower just to match a stock 3500! I just wish the 3400 crank would work in the 3500, that would solve all the crank trigger issues very nicely.
As for the V6 Z24 site, I appreciate any efforts you can make. I posted that because I knew you were on there superdave! Oh well, Gen II Z24 with a nice 3500 swap seems like the most viable option. Now all I have to do is find one that's not beaten to hell! Thanks again!
