on caffeine's thread about his RWD build the subject of balancers cam up. what about using a LTx or LSx balancer? I'm not sure how the crank sensors work on them compared to an 3x00, but they do have a pulley made into them also, like the 3x00 does.

The LS motors have two sections to drive a serp belt. But why the need for one? Why not use a 3X00 damper if you need an integrated belt drive? Is there seal interference or something? I guess the best way to know would be to go to the parts store and ask to see some stock replacement ones. Bring your calipers and start measuring.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma

seal is the same but they are very different in dimensions. The FWD one is way shorter. I should have a picture of the difference somewhere, i'll look later.

Oh yea its much shorter but I thought that is what he was after because he wanted the integrated belt drive. Otherwise why not use a standard RWD setup? The 3.4L ones came with a trigger wheel.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma
