boost button?

I've been thinking about trying to get the auto trans outputs of my ECM to control the the VGT feature on something like a HE351VE, and then setting everything up with the "performance shift button" common on some of the electronically controlled transmissions simply making the VGT operate more aggressively once pushed?

Anyone think this is doable?
