  • gen 1 fuel pressure gauge

im putting an adjustable fuel pressure regulator on my 86 cavy with gen 1 ironhead and im having issues with the gauge. what i was planning on doing was taking off the schrader valve and putting the gauge there. hat i found was it has some odd threads in it, and i cant find an adaptor for it, so i though no biggie, ill just remove the inner part of the valve and use an AN-4 fitting (i think thats what it is, may be -3) to pipe thread. problem is, i cant seem to track down a fitting like that.

has anyone ever done this??? am i going to have to mod another fuel rail to accept 1/8" pipe thread fitting (thats what the gauge is, its an autometer)???

any ideas on what i should do here???

the problem i was having was hooking it up, and trying to find fittings. i went to 6 places today and found one, so im all good now. and my adjustable fpr came in, so its all good.

well, got it on, and got the adjustable fpr on. it makes a bit of a differance. i went from not being able to get a chirp in 2nd to getting 3rd gear barking. it doesnt feel like much in the seat of my pants, but im sure itll be more usefull when i bump my timing pack up to 14 degrees for the track.
