Can you change 90 distributor over to mechanical ?

Can i change over to mechanical on the 90s electronic advance distributor?if so where can i get the parts

I would head to a junkyard and start looking at a dizy from an old S-10 or Camaro with a 2.8 in it. I would imagine you could, but I would check in a yard. Much cheaper than ordering parts and finding out the out of pocket way.

Yup just find an 82 to 84 S-10 distributor. It will use a remote coil. A FWD Distributor of the same vintage will have the coil in the cap. Check Rockauto.com for pics and pricing.
