Here is a handy web site for stuff like this.
well that say's 54mm, but doesn't factor in rpm or power levels, so I don't know how well to trust it.

This thread seems to suggest that I would need a 35mm itb setup...

I think the triumph TB's are 45mm, but I do not have confirmation on that yet.
Yeah, I like what he did as well with the ITB's. I quietly observed his posted progress, truly a fantastic engineering accomplishment!

Wouldn't you have to build some sort of custom plenum to run boost anyway? (or run 6 pipes from the intercooler...)

if you're having clearance issues... why not try an equinox plenum? It's basically the same as a 3500 just with the TB up top.

if I could get one locally, I would give one a try, but they are just so ugly...

A little off-topic, but could an equinox plenum be used with a rwd setup to allow use of the fwd accessories and timing cover? Makes it easier to run an external trigger IMO.
Is there enough room behind the engine to keep the thermostat housing at the rear of the engine? (in 3rd-gen F-body)

I tried fitting a FWD manifold with the t-stat in the rear and the manifold itself fits, but the coolant neck won't without firewall modifications.

Hmm what if I was using a transmission adapter plate and pushing the motor forward slightly as a result?

I cut and rotated the coolant neck to tuck it in along side the passenger side head.

Why do you need an adapter? Are you using a t5, th350 or 400 trans? The 3500 bolts right to the v6 RWD trans.

How did that help? There's only about .5" from the manifold to the firewall, rotating it won't make it any thinner.

I'm hoping I can adapt an lt1 t56 to the block. Not really interested in an auto and t5s aren't known to hold much power. Rear end would have at least 4.11 gears to compensate for the t56s gearing. Biggest issue I see is that the lt1 pressure plate would need to be used to use the lt1 bellhousing with the pull-style clutch.

Did not make it any thinner, just wraps back toward the passerger side head instead of heading back to the firewall now.
