I'm contemplating a cam swap for my 3500, when I remembered I had a set of comp valvespings for an LT1 build that was abandoned, would they fit the LX9?

They look a little stiff and I doubt your going to need that kind of pressure to control valves as small as we have on all but the most radical cam. Also in any application a beehive spring is going to outperform a straight spring any day of the week.
well, I have the springs already, and I could pull the inner spring to lighten them up some... I'm trying to get a cam swap done on a pretty tight budget.

I wouldn't run without a damper spring in them if you pull the inner. They aren't beehive or ovate wire, so the resonate frequency could be in your powerband, causing valve float. Sell them and get better springs, or keep your motor stock since its a budget build. Im not sure if the retainers those springs use will work with the rocker arms, so you would have to check that.
10-4, I guess I'll try selling the LT1 parts and buying 60*parts. anyone want a comp cams 07-467-8 cam for an LT1? it's an XFI series as linked to below...

You should be able to unload small block parts on your local craigslist pretty quick. Or if you still have a receipt you may not be able to return them but an exchange might be possible provided they were never used.
I doubt the speed shop will take them back after 2 years, of sitting on my shelf... I've got them up on a couple of sites for now.

Hey if you got the receipt and only want an exchange then you never know. I returned 2 10" Flex A Lite fans I never used after 2.5 years. I called ahead and he said sure as long as there was no damage to the box and nothing inside was used or missing. At least you will get full credit. Its at least worth a phone call. If you sell them online you may only get 1/2 your money back.

stock Ls1 springs are supposed to be good to 490 lift do you guys think they would take 496? I got a set for free and would love to use them instead of buying new ones.

LS1 springs aren't very stiff. I gave all mine away so i can't measure coil bind to see how much you would have, but I wouldn't run LS1 springs on most cams anyway.
