  • 3.1 Hybrid Dyno

Hybrids are really a thing of the past is seems but I recently put mine on a dyno and was pretty pleased with it. It ended up about what I hoped/expected it would be. 152 hp/175 ft.lbs. torque at the rear wheels. It has a reground stock cam from Delta Cams, long tube headers (32 in.) and a Jeep 60 mm throttle body. Thought I'd share.

What's the specs on the build? I dynoed a stock 3.4 Camaro and it was about 140-ish. Have to dig up the graphs.

What has it ran at the track?
Lifting my front wheels, one jack at a time.

It's a stock Gen 2 3.1 bottom end, with Gen 3 heads/LIM/UIM/injectors, ls6 springs. Delta said the stock cam was ground to 260 duration/.469 lift/112 lsa. Iron head head gaskets, Jeep 4.0 throttle body which is 60 mm..I ported the narrow part of this throttle body out to 60 mm and matched the UIM to it. I made some equal-length headers with 1.5 in. primaries at about 32 in. long (all tubes are within about 1.5 inches of each other). At the moment I'm running pretty much stock $A1 so there may be a little more left with some tuning.

I haven't ever run it at the track. It's a sports car so not really set-up for a straight line run. The car, an MGB, only weighs about 2021 lbs. with a half tank of gas though.
