  • TBI fuel pressure

Just wondering what I should have for fuel pressure for a mildly modified 3.1?
Also any ideas where is the best location to tie a fuel pressure gauge in?

The best place to get pressure from is right at the inlet line to the TBI unit. There are a few companies that sell a new fitting that replaces the stock one with one that is longer and has a hole drilled and tapped for a 1/8" NPT fitting. http://marine-performance-parts.com/...843505774.aspx The one there seems a little pricey so check Ebay. I would not mount the gauge directly on the fitting. I did that before and the engine vibration broke the needles off 2 gages before I mounted it to the fender with a small braided hose connecting the gauge to the fitting.

You should have 9~13 PSI but being near the top of the range is best.
