I am tearing my engine apart because of my blown head gasket and worn out valve guides, and while I'm at it, I'm putting in a cam (among some other things), and at the same time I figure I'll replace the whole valvetrain. I am ordering the cam, lifters, and pushrods on Monday and I already have the valvesprings, retainers, locks, valves, guides, etc... All that is left is the rocker arms, and I was going to not replace them because they are rocker arms after all so the stock ones should be fine, however it would be nice to go to roller tip and the small amount of extra lift won't hurt either.
However, I know that I can't put just the rocker arms on, so what do I need to make it work? I have read that I need Iron head adjustable rocker studs...if so how many of those will I need, and also I have been told that I will have to do some grinding as well, and is this the case, and if so, where do I need to do the grinding?
Thank You,
Shawn
