  • Muffler for 3100?

Whats a good muffler for a stockish 3100
all its got is a HAI and a u-bend delete
i know on the 3800 chambered mufflers drone and sound like shit, but 3800 sounds like shit anyways. and the 3100 sound so much better but i dont know what muffler goes good with a 3100?
    thanks

        thanks for that link
i watched the for with the dynomax super turbo and thats kinda what im looking for and its cheap like 60 bucks from amazon so i can deal with that if i dont like it and rip it off
so now i think im down to the dynomax and the aerochamber, do you know what the drone is like with these too?

dynomax ultraflo welded is a nice muffler. make sure it's the perf. core glasspack one that you can see right through.

Aerochambers don't drone like most chambered mufflers.

                  thats what i thought
i might just throw a dynomax super turbo and see, i can put it on, all i have to do is buy it and it can be ripped off as easy as i can put it on. and plus its cheap so no big loss

i currently have a cherry bomb glasspack on the 95MC, and it's a little louder than stock, no drone whatsoever.

it depends on the design of the muffler, and where you put it/how much pipe is after it. its all up in the air really, as some vehicles will have the drone canceled out by the body design, sounds stupid, but i ripped out my turkey shooter exhaust from one beretta, to another beretta, to a omega, sounded different in every one. i had a turbo cherry bomb in place of the resinator, and side shooting exhaust, to me it sounded very good and didnt have to much drone if any at all, in my MC, i have a resinator in the same place (after the cat) and it had alot of drone
here is just the stock resinator and no muffler:

here is a flow pro resinator in place of the stock one:

and with headers its f**king redonculas on the road, but i love it!

I have a flowmaster 40 series on there now and hate how loud it can be.I looked in a dynomax exhaust book a few years ago. They outflow everything by a crazy amount=) Magnaflow is good to and many people like them.

If you've got access to some tin snips, bare sheet metal, a welder and spray paint you can get a Hooker Aerochamber for a very good price on Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hooker-Heade...item5198daf822

I bought several a while back, 2 are going on my Camaro this spring to replace the current Aerochamber crossflow system.
