Welcome to the site. Can you please elaborate on what engine you are starting with (year, vehicle, etc), and what your overall goals are? A budget and skill level is also helpful. Thanks!

      I have a 1990 z24 cav with a 189
Im lookin at just giving my the most performance without actually changing the engine block
My budget is about a 1000
And my skill is fairly high and if it exceeds that level then i do have people who can help
As well i am currently looking at possibly picking up a 90s grand prix with a 3.4 thats either supercherged or turboed i was wondering which would be better

3500 heads can't be used with the smaller bore of the 3.1 blocks but the 3400 heads can.

If it is an 89-90 Turbo Grand Prix it is a 3.1MPFI similar to your Cavi and if it is a 91-96 3.4 it is a Twin Dual Cam. Unless something was swapped or done aftermarket for forced induction. 97 and up are 3800 Series II supercharged engines.

A 1998 GTP would have the 3800 Supercharged... the SE would have been a 3100 and the GT was a naturally aspirated 3800. There was no stock turbo or supercharged 60* V6 other than the 89-90 Turbo Grand Prix's 3.1MPFI.
