holley pro-jection questions

Does anyone have any experience with the holley 670 pro-jection
system on a v6?
talked to a holley tech guy he told me the system is designed for
a v8 and he was doubtful it would work on a v6 due to there would be
less distributer pulses I thought the system would fire on a per cylinder need
this is going on top of a hopefully supercharged 3.4

there are 2 of us on this board with the Holley Commander 950 ECU.
but i still dont have mine installed yet.

I was thinking more of the standard 2d system.
holley p/n502-20s
they seem to be easy to find used(ebay) and require no programing .
the holley techguy said the commander 950 would work but the price! ouch
