I was assigned to one of the oldest LA-Class sub's (USS Memphis, SSN-691), yet it had just been refueled and updates to the latest reactor control system (the 2nd boat to get it actually). So never could out the older sub's!

If I was a betting man that would have been easy money. No one in their right mind would have bet against me/you though.

Way to go! Sure hope you get posted to something updated. I just don't trust the new stuff. Seems like they are in a rush and leave too much undone these days. There are a few SSNs on the way, but I think you may be done before they are. There is always the Ford class CVNs LOL.

Thanks! I passed, now this time next week I'll be home getting all of my parts together and loaded into the truck, and making the long haul back!

I suspected simple magnetism in a stable (benign like state) as the medium.

Now, if we can get Eric into the debate....lol, nah, he's got a lot to do still on that Fiero. Which, btw, is coming along nice.
Caught up on this thread from the beginning.

Electromagnetic radiation propagates through a vacuum just fine. Look up permitivity and permeability of free space.

well, the car is still in P-town, 600 miles away... it's mostly shipable, so I may pay a transporter to bring it up, but we'll see. I don't think my truck would have appreciated me trying to tow the car back on a trailer...

50-50-90. well, actually 66.6-33.3-90. I'm an MM, well going to be. of coarse, in my spare time (lol spare what?) I'm studying a little bit of electrical theory as a refresher.

I graduate "A" school November 1st, then I get a short break, then power school, which I'm both dreading and dreaming of at the same time...

Trust me, I'm not sitting around twiddling my thumbs, I spend at least 10 hours a day minimum in class, then I have to do homework which is usually another 2-3 hours, sometimes 5-6 hours.

HTOB is dead, and I really need a better clutch... the clutch might have to wait though...

I'm still in school, between classes, it'll be at least another year and a half before I'm to sea.
