  • 3100/3400 Alternators the same?

    Are the alternators for the 3100 and 3400 the same as far as connectors go?

    Also, is the stock 3400 alternator 120 amps?

    Any help would be great, thanks!

    Though the Montana got a 125 amp, and the GP got a 110 amp.

      can either of those alternators be used in conjunction with an obd1 ECM?

        The alternators are of the CS130 family. That design is used everywhere on GM V6 engines throughout the last 20 years.

          it's easy to look up parts on napa/advance/autozone and see what they cross to. say look up a 95 3100 beretta and then a 98 3400 grand am and see if they alts have the same p/n's. Thats usually where I start when I have compatibility issues with common replacement parts like that. Just a thought
