    MUCH better.

Even though the runners are different lengths i think you'll be ok. Guys that run ITB's have been known to alternate the height of velocity stacks to change the power band of the engine. From what i hear it works pretty well.

This is the only solution that I can carry on, I mean with the Holley carb.
There is an issue with the hood.
I can not fit the long runners under the carb (Holley).
If I could raise the carb still an other 4" , there is no problem.
As Mr Superdave said , mission impossible.

Idea is to devide the plenum into 2 sections.
One for cyl. number 1,3 and 5 , the other for cyl. number 2,4 and 6.

But the runners are going to be too short, especially number 3 and 4.
That is going to effect to the torque negatively .

But we have not yet seen the final hp numbers of this 2.8 motor with the PMO 3 x 50 mm carb and the intake made for that.
I did not get the new intake gaskets for this weekend , so there was time to do this
    another intake manifold.

I'd worry about even distribution with that design. Maybe something more like a torker where the runners all aim at the plenum area under the carb. Good idea though, kinda makes me want to build my own tunnel ram. Hehe

I think it might have been easier if you made the intake using 3 S shape pipes connecting cyl 1-2 3-4 5-6. you would use a lot less pipe and save height. don't know how well it would work with a carb.

Pictures of a new intake for the Holley carb.
I made some tubes to see if it is possible to manufacture a
    intake for that carb.
Everybody knows this is not going to be an easy job.
You have to start from somewhere, and this is what came today.

Idea is to get the runners as long as possible.

I know it's probably too late, but you should make a removable top plate so you can try your 3 barrel setup on the new intake.

I suppose you don't like the idea of modifying a 3500 upper intake. Would be fun to see how good it would work
the 3x00 intake runners are too long for that in my opinion. I think he's on the right path with this intake.

Wasn't long runners with little or no common plenum volume crucially effect high rpm power, just like a TPI

I like this WAY better! you will too! your port entry angle is much better on this intake than the last one!

I would get a upper and lower intakes for that motor, 3400 lower and 3500 upper, band saw off the intake on the upper, tig it shut, cut a hole in the middle of the upper and weld on your adaptor plate to mount the Holley

The third dyno session was supposed to be this week.
But had to withdraw the appointment .
Intake modification are ready, but when I started the engine in my garage, there was
    some intake leaks.
    The intake gasket was leaking.
I have to get a new one. Asked our GM dealer in Finland , the price for a Fel Pro MS 98003T
    gasket was $ 300.
Instead of buying these , ordered 2 sets from ebay for $ 200 .
I have wait them for a week.

Welding the intake caused some shapeshift , and have to fix the runners to match each other.

Pulled out the roller lifters also.
They have taken 75 pulls in the dyno.
There seems to be no damage so far.
The roller is spinning all right and the body is not too much scuffed.
    Found an interesting thread :

If you look carefully, you can see the modifications that I made to the lifters.
They were made to get the right quantity of oil to the rockers.

And when you install solid roller lifters, remember to blug those 2 screw holes
that goes to the lifter oil gallery on the passenger side.
Otherwise oil goes out of them , and you can not get proper oil pressure.

Thats what I was thinking, Turn the area below the plate and above the last couple of inches of port into a plenum. Not much room in there to do too much.

I started to modify the intake manifold.
I can not use the "extension part" , because the carb comes out of the hood.

This what the intake looked like.

I am putting 2 tubes between the runners.

I also have an option to build a whole new intake to a Holley carb.
    I have bought a 390 cfm 4150-series carb.
That is with mechanical secondaries, douple pump as you say.
I am pretty sure that with that Holley and an intake descriped by Mr Betterthanyou,
the maximum power can be reached .
But I hold this intake first , and see what kind of power can be taken
    with 3-throttle carb.

There is plenty of time (allmost half a year) before the beginning of the
race season , to manufacture another intake to the Holley.
