  • *Newbee* Help Selecting Right heads and Intake

Im currently racing a 2000 GA GT on dirt oval. I have a good machinist to help me squeeze some extra HP out of my 3400. I have an Lx5 TB. Purchasing an adapter for it and a set of headers. What I need help with is selecting the right intake and heads to start out with? I'm not sure if I'm better of starting with an LX9 3500 top end or just machining what I got? Any info is greatly appreciated, THANKS

Since you aren't going with boost, from what I've read on these forums, the 3500 (non-VVT) heads and intake would work great on your car for an increase. The headers should bolt up to the 3500 heads as well, so no need to buy new headers for the new heads.

    BTW, welcome to the site
