Do you really need to swap out the check ball spring also or can I just swap out the piston spring and still be ok? Thanks.

are 60* lifters different from SBC lifters? I though they were all the same externally?

the OD is but the internals are different than flat tappet lifters.

OP, why not swap out the check ball springs?.. it takes 30 sec per lifter once the main plunger is out.

The TCE/LS1/LT4 lifter springs are stiffer than the regular 60V6 or SBC lifter springs. You will need to do both springs. Use a pick to get the cup out of the bottom.
