Cracked heads?

I just dropped off my 3.1 heads to get the seats ground for the High Compression build I am doing. When I got there the guy said "wait a minuit unitl I check the heads, a lot of the newer ones (2000 and up) are showing up cracked between the valve seats." Good for me I guess, these are 1994 heads and are fine, but it seems that later heads are turning out to be bad actors. Anyone had any problems like this? Larry

On vans this happens due to the heat at the back of the motor. 94 heads aren't desirable for a performance build compared to a 2000 head.
