Have a 72 volvo p1800e...looking to put a 3.4l camaro engine & tranny in it & give the motor more power. I am told that the later 3400/3500 motors are better, but i don't know what is involved in converting a transverse v6 to an inline set-up or just stick w/the camaro 3.4 & just clean up the heads, throw in a cam & headers??? Also need to know if t5 works with any 3400/3500???thanx 4 the help

Welcome!
I think this is the first Volvo swap we've seen, so that's cool. To answer your questions, doing a 3x00 longitudinally can be done, as is currently being done by several members (Mars and Superdave into Camaro's, several members into MGBs, I'm slowly working on one into a Mustang). They can also be hooked up to T5s relatively easy. One site to check out would be www.killerbv6.com . The parts are primarily for MGB swaps, but most of it can also be used for other platforms as well. I know for a fact Marc even has a T5 bellhousing on there for the 3x00s. Hope that gives you a start at least!-Brad-
