  • 3400 lower on 3500 heads?

I've been told the two can't be used together but I don't see why. I have a 3500 & 3400 lower side by side and after a few measurements I don't see any reason for it not to work. The only difference I can see is the little notch at the mouth of the 3500 lower. Enlighten me?

3.4 block converted to roller valvetrain with 220/225 cam on 115 lsa, '769' heads with 3500 valves, LS6 springs & porting, twin T04E turbos, 3500 plenum with ported 3400 lower & 'short star' 65mm throttle.

The problem becomes very obvious when you bolt them together. They raised the ports on the 3500s:P

I don't have the heads yet, I only have the manifolds to compare. That's why I asked.

like Ben said, there is a big difference in the orientation and shape of the ports. Not going to work at all.

Alright, thanks. So even if I smear a bunch of jb weld on it I can't make it work? JK.
