Flat tappet cam and solid lifters in a 3.1?

    104* lobe separation or 104* intake center? 104* lobe separation is pretty tight for that much duration and it sounds like you will have quite a bit of overlap and some serious lope at idle.

      I'll the numbers they ground it to on Monday, the cam sheet says "104 LOBE CENTER" (that is bofore grinding) the cam grinder said to leave that alone, so I guess we will see what we get. It's OK if it idles a little rough, it will not be a daily driver. I'll post the real numbers on Monday.

      PS, I recall now, both lobe center and lobe seperation said 104 on the sheet that came with the cam. Does that sound possiable? Larry

        Yes thats possible it just meas that there is no advance ground into the cam. Typically there is a few degrees of advance ground into a cam to improve low end response.

        When you get your cam card with the cam then post up what it says.
