Is that a FORD Ranger carb? It was obviously never used on a Chevy engine and I have never herd of anyone swapping one. Why the interest?
Common carb swaps are the Weber conversion and the Holley 3901993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma
1990 4Door, 3.2L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. 4X4. Trooper

Back in the day I had a '74 Mustang II, 2.8 2bbl and there were adapters around for several years. As for the GM version 2.8, best results are with the Edelbrock intake/adapter+Holley 390 4bbl. The Weber conversion is good, but performance above stock power levels is somewhat limited unless you have good carb. tuning knowledge and are willing to spend some bucks on jets and dyno time. The 4bbl setup gives the average user more performance out of the box and easier tuning parts availability. If you must have the venerable 2100 setup, any decent machine shop can carve you one out of billet plate. Note, regardless of what the pundits say, the 2100 style carb can be mounted sideways to make machining simpler but you must run the float level 1/8" higher to prevent leaning out the "front" jet when accelerating hard uphill.

Megasquirt and Accel's DFI system come to mind, but I don't think you will have any problems locating OE design equipment as the parts stores would have a rebuilt ECM (if you can't find one at a salvage yard) and any sensors you will need. Painless and other companies make wiring harnesses and the "chip" for the ECM can be had through either the dealer for stock or the aftermarket for performance based tuning.
