I did not plasti-gauge my stuff because all my bearings came out mint looking and I had no work done to the rods or the crank. I think if your blue printing a block and turning parts that yes you should double check the clearances, but you should be fine. I did the Clevite bearings as well last year and they were fine and gave me no fitment issues... Still running strong this year and thats after my 12 sec abuse on it.

Let me know how the perfect circle rings work out... I'm thinking of getting those when I finally do replace my pistons.

Awesome! That's good to know. That's probably what I'll do then. All the parts where there Friday. Cam looked good and all the measurements where the same as my stock one. All the bearings look good, pistons and rings look good. I installed one set of rings on the pistons just to check the fit and side clearance in the ring slot and they looked perfect. The ring grinder I ordered should be here next week. Pretty much I'm just waiting on the money to get here to pay the machine shop to get started, then I can start the assembly process once I get the block back. Going up there today to rebuild the lifters and do some work on my oil cooler lines (adding in a bypass thermostat).
