Generally, they are not recommended due to poor construction (carboard used for the end cap).
Don't cheap out; get a good filter.
They also flow like garbage.
My 91 would peg the oil pressure gauge while running due to the sender being between the pump and the filter and the filter wouldn't flow enough to not cause a big restriction between the two. To quote one of the guys from The Ranger Station (Ford Ranger forums): "I would rather use wet toilet paper than a Fram oil filter."

Thanks for all the advice. I obviously overlooked something minor/major.
I have another question.
Would it be worth my time to wrap pacesetter headers with Header wrap?
I hear people are having heat problems and I see value in the cearmic coating. but if i were to wrap them anyways I could just get the uncoated set.
What do you guys think? I know I will need headers to make this shine....
Have them coated. They will hold in heat better and not rust out as fast, and coating will make them worth more. Header wrap is good thing and all, but not as good as a good coating.

Honestly, I would just hold off until Ben/John finish up the headers for WOT-Tech, and buy from there. Pacesetters are really just a waste of money, because they will rust out, no matter what.
Ok problem fixed. I want to wrap them cause I dont want to melt a radiator hose while Im on a 200+ mi business trip with other associates. I would def not be too happy with that. It would be a shame to wrap that puurdy chrome look.....

Ported 3500 lower and TCE Lifter springs shipped from WOT-Tech this weekend!
This is going to happen soon.
I want to get before and after videos of acceleration for comparison reasons.
A before and after dyno would be nice.
The nearest is in San Jose, about a 3 1/2 hour drive...

These guys are in Hayward^^ I got a good referral searching the LS1 forums.
There only 2 1/2 hours away but there telling me $500 for everything. Shift points, Fuel map, the whole 9. they want $125 just for a base dyno pull before putting the heads on.
This is a lot more than I was thinking it was going to be...
