  • 3100 1.6 rockers

Will these rockers work on a iron head 2.8? Specifically a Fiero, 3400 roller block with 2.8 Fiero top end.

    1.6:1 Ball Fulcrum Rockers
These are glass bead blasted rockers with brand new pivot balls. Gen 2 engines can use these 94-95 3100 rockers to increase the lift compared to their stock rockers. The pushrod guide plates may need to ground a little where the pushrod sits in case of binding. (WOT)

Buy COMP Cams 1.6:1 magnum rockers. They are under $150 and you get the roller tip.

      Rockers

      So the 3.1's won't work?

      Thanks for the reply.

Yes they will but for the price the COMP cams rockers are much better, the ratio is more accurate and the roller tip prevents valve guide wear and frees up a few horse power.

You can use the 3X00 stamped rockers if you want.

Thanks so much for the reply. I saw those on WOT tech for $50 and it looked like a good deal, my application is a 3400 roller cam block with Fiero Iron heads and manifolds. The push rods need to be changed to 5.85". While I've got you, will a 3400 SFI flexplate work on a Fiero TH125C? I put it on the torque convertor and it fit but was close to the transaxle. However it has the same part number 10218513 as the '88 Fiero neutral balance flexplate and the 3400 is just shy of 12" and has 142 teeth. My research has led me to RWD flexplates won't work on FWD Transmissions due to the greater diameter and tooth count. I have seen the DOHC/TDC flywheels recommened in this situation but they appear the same as the SFI.

          Thanks

Your Fiero should work with any FWD neutral balance flexplate. One good way to check is to look it up on rockauto.com and then check the part info and it will tell you all the vehicles it fits.

Thanks for your replies. My 3.1 from a 2.8 that I gleened info from you, is still running fine.
