  • 3.1 Piston question

Searching this sight I found this thread: http://60degreev6.com/forum/archive/...p/t-28264.html I have a Gen3 roller cam aluminum head engine, this thread appears to indicate that the 3.1 Camero iron head pistons with the 12 CC dish will fit the aluminum head 3.1 engine with the 28cc dish pistons and bring the compression ratio up to about 11:1. Has anyone really run an engine built this way, and are there any valve/piston clerance issues? Larry

I know there are a couple people that used to lurk here that have, and I recall no problems with their engines with the piston/valve clearance.

It depends on the cam but i seem to remember one of the domesticcrew guys using the H272-2 cam with the camaro pistons in a hybrid. That's a normal thing that you'll have to check in your final assembly.
