  • 3.1L engine internals

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with finding where to get engine internals for my 3.1L. I am doing a full rebuild, and i need to know if anyone knows of any performance pushrods, connecting rods, pistons, crankshaft, valves, or roller rockers. I also need all my bearings, piston rings, valve springs, etc. I plan on boring it over .030", so i need to find pistons and rings that are oversized too. If anyone knows of a good site or place to find any of this stuff, let me know, it would be greatly appreciated. Ohh yea, and i was also wondering about a larger throttle body for the 3100 sfi engine. I saw one a long time ago, but now i have no idea where to find it. OHH yea, i probably should mention that i am going to be making this one a Hybrid 3.1/3100. any help would be great, thank you.

For the gaskets/rings/pistons/bearings just go to a local engine rebuilder, phone several and compare prices. The springs can be from an LS1 for the 3100 heads. Just have the rods polished and shotpeened buy a local shop and replace the bolts (ARP is good) You can get valve train components from Crane. I have seen brand new cranks at a local performance shop but you can find one that has been ground (or yours)at the engine rebuilder, My last crank was cut 20/20 and it lasted 200,000KM driven HARD before it snapped so 10/10 is better. Some parts stores beat prices of other stores too, the more you phone around before you buy the better. Good Luck
Why pay someone to do the work, it costs alot and you don\'t learn s*^t!!!

for parts like Clevelite bearings and hyperutectic pistons, try www.northernautoparts.com You will need to call to check specifics really.

as for roller tip rockers, etc check with northern for the CompCams roller magnum ones, as for the gold Crane ones, talk to Summit. They can get those parts. Same thing with pushrods, if you know the length, you can order them from any performance warehouse or direct from Crower, Compcams, Crane, etc.
