you can do what ever you want, if your going to get headers you maise well do the whole exhaust and take it to a repurable shop, replacing the CAT witha high flow from Magnaflow, and your own poison of mufflers or and resenators

would there be any harm done just keeping the stock exhaust with a high flow cat after the headers?

You wouldn't gain the most from it but you can certainly run the stock exhaust.

I'd still see gains from it tho? i wouldnt have the money for the whole exhaust to get redone yet but i would eventually do it

Yes, you should still see gains because of how much more efficient headers are over stock manis- just not as much as you would see with a whole exhaust is what Ben is saying.

once you replace the the manifolds with headers, the CAT because your going with a high flow and probably a new down pipe to match up with the headers and get rid of the U bend, and your most likely going to put on a new muffler because the stock one is a POS, theres about 4 feet left of tubing to replace.... the CAT back exhaust cost me 150 to get done at a MIDAS

I just got this off of montecarloforum and got it and was a little disapointed, but looking for some answers.

Okay, the first thing that appears to me is that the polishing looks nice.

Next, the throttle body looks stock, but on the intake manifold, it doesn't look ported, but just machined. then i noticed that there are cracks everywhere.

As you can see by one picture it's cracked all the way through.

Now what i want to know is how bad will this affect my car, do you think it will leak? does it look ported to you? i was told it's gasket matched, which is ported to a sense but not normal porting.

Lastly, how do you think i could go about fixing this and what would i have to do?

I would tell whoever you bought it from to refund your money. That sure doesn't look ported to me, and I wouldn't trust it at all to seal worth a damn with those cracks.

Well, there are only 6 bolts that hold down a 3400 plenum. From your pictures, there are cracks at 3 of those locations. So no, I wouldn't trust it to seal.

its cracked on 5 of the 6, and i think what he said is gasket matched is the throttle body on the inside

That upper is junk and the throttlebody is no better than stock.

One about the HID's you traded? That uim is toast. Don't buy anything from that forum. It's a bunch of wanna be premium-plus's, I cant even bring myself to post on there anymore.

I post there about 7 times a day its the only active Monte Carlo forum that I can find and this was just one Guy that didn't know what he was talking about saying it was perfect when he sent it.

I do have a question for Ben though.

What's the difference between your competition ported UIM and LIM compared to the milzymotorsports ported UIM and LIM?
