  • 3.4L stock rods

I'm new and I have a 93 camaro w/the 3.4l, I am getting everything together to do a rebuild its going to be .020 over with ross forged flat top pistons, cryotreated and cross drilled crank, p&p heads w/ss valves, p&p upper and lower intake manifold port and gaket matched to heads and each other, LT1 throttle body, Lunati valve train kit, comp magnum roller tiped rockers, cloyes adjustable timing chain set, mellings high flow oil pump, underdrive pullys, headers, SLP cold air. Anyways that will give you an idea of the power I'm going for N/A but I'm also going to put a direct port nitrous kit on it spraying at least a 150 shot, with all of that said could I get away with using the stock forged rods if I shot peened them or do I really need to spend the $600 to get Mantly forged nitrous rods.

thoes manley rods are way over priced IMHO, a small journal 327 rod with a lil work will fit fine (thats my plan)

thats what I heard, take a little off each side of the rod where it connects to the crank and have the bearing grove recut to center the bearings.
