Heh, i do port work as well and am a lot cheaper than APOC, just a bit cheaper than colin, probably due to the machine shop local to me being awesome on their prices:P 1000 for ported heads with those parts is expensive. New locks and retainers isn't needed so thats just added expense for getting new parts. Springs, those aren't over 150 I think. Seals come with a gasket kit you will need anyway to put the heads on so you may as well get the whole kit first instead of having spare seals.Ben

that's a good price (core required?), did john at APOC say how long it would take? i think that's a pretty good price. that will be down the road for what I'm planning, just wondering. I'll probably end up doing mine if i get a 3400 set of heads.2002 Pontiac GrandAm GT1

Whoa, whoa there little fella! I never said choose APOC over Colin. I simply said that if the heads from APOC where going to be ported anyway, you may as well find out what the valve job will cost you from them. If you start piecing out the process to different places, you can rack up quite a bill in shipping alone! If you are simply talking about an OEM set of heads, I wouldn't have a problem recommending either Colin or Ben. They both know their stuff really well and are good guys.
