  • New Car!! Looking for pointers

Hey guys , so I sold my old 340xxxkms 94 4dr Cutlass and got a another 94 cutlass!! Only this time its a white coupe with only 180xxxkms on it. Yes its kms cause im in Canada Now iv already got an intake and 10.3mm wires on it , looking into building a set of headers , 2.5in stainless catback duel exhaust.

Iv heard a lot of good stuff about the alum. head swap from a newer 3.1 but dont really want to get that deep into it befor winter. I want to comprise a parts list of what ill need for the swap so any help would be greatly appreciated

So the next step I want to do is bigger throttle body. I belive mine is 56mm or somthing like that. Where can I find a bigger throttle body?

I hope to get some pics up as soon as I can find the darn camera cord!!!

Is it the 3.1 mpfi or 3100 sfi? GM used both of those in 94. Either way, 10mm plug wires are overkill for anything but topfuel dragsters. The OEM acdelco ones are plenty effective for anything you'll throw at that engine. The only reason to go aftermarket is if you want to colour coordinate your engine bay.

Well technically its both lol SFI under 3000rpm for my grandma driving and MPFI over 3000rpm for my ...well grandma driving I did the wires cause I needed new ones and the ac delco ones were just as expensive as the 10mm and they look cooler haha.

The MSD wiresets are nice, I've had mine for +30,000 miles now, without an issue.

Front STB / MSD Ignition: 8.5mm wires & blaster coils / SOME BIG GODDAMNED MUDFLAPS

And some other stuff to make it look pretty.

Heh true enough. You'll need a set of 99+ 3100/3400 heads and intake manifolds. The roller rockers with 10mm threads for the older heads and 8mm for the newer ones. You can reuse your old rockers but the newer lower intake neads to be ground to make clearance for them. You will also need a 1/2" NPT hole tap to use your existing coolant line into the lower manifold as well.

Also the 3100's have a 52mm throttlebody. The 3400's had a 56mm which you can also use or get one of the TCE 62mm units.
