  • WOT AFR?

Where is your motor happiest? Mine seems to run best between 11.5 and 12, a little richer than other motors are typically run. It would seem they would run better leaner because of the chamber design.
Increasingly I find the difference between a "fact" and an opinion is the number of people who believe it.

3.4 block converted to roller valvetrain with 220/225 cam on 115 lsa, '769' heads with 3500 valves, LS6 springs & porting, twin T04E turbos, 3500 plenum with ported 3400 lower & 'short star' 65mm throttle.

Are you talking about the hybrid motor? They do like to run a little rich. You should see the 3500's when I pull them apart, carbon city!

Yep. Mine already has some buildup, but that's from breaking it in. I'll have to suck some seafoam thorugh it.

My 3500 was happiest with 26 degrees of advance and around a 12:1 AFR. Quite a few other engines that i've tuned like to be a little closer to 13:1 and 28 degrees (stock cam and SCR).

28* was what I ended up with.

i always shoot for a calc'd 12.5, but from the sounds of it, maybe i should be going richer?

LOL, the only vehicle capable of traveling there legally is wifey's LH0 GP.... i don't feel like pulling an 18 second timeslip

i imagine there would a few decent places to log a thorough 1st gear or 0-60 run without attracting attention though...

On-ramps to the highway work very well.

I tuned a cammed 3500 swapped 3rd gen Sunfire the other day, we just kept doing 3rd gear pulls up to 70 ish MPH on the highway.

                      GM obviously didn't think so!

the 94-95 3100 PCMs SHOULD have a cat protect function in them, and richens up the AFR even more depending on how long you've been in PE mode...
