For 225-250 crank, You can modify the 3400 however you want then. port work, cam, larger TB, etc. If you push it closer to 250, then larger injectors would be a good idea.
I dont have a chip burner so thats out of the question... so I'd have to get a new computer.

Hmm.... Just weighing my options here but what if I were to stay with a 3.1? Which was my original plan before you suggested the 3400 method. The roller lifter 3100s will that block work with the mpfi setup?

Oh and I'll go ahead and admit i belong on that failboat lol. If you guys hadnt noticed I'm more of a carbbed v8 guy not so much a fuel injected v6...... All of the rebuilds Ive done on v6s were basically replace old with new, no performance.... I take back the no bashing.... after this thread I deserve what I get.... lol

There is no reason at all to use a 3100 over a 3400. Its a larger bore. In 2000 the 3100 and 3400 have the same everything but bore, TB size, and letters on the upper intake. Same heads, rockers, cam, crank, rods, injectors, etc. The block is physically the same other than the bores the A or B on the side of the block. No you can't bore a 3100 to 3400, its a different casting for the bores, and that is it.

Why can't you buy a chip burner and cable for less than 200? What computer are you going to use that is cheaper than this and tune it properly? Rewiring for OBD2 and getting HPTuners is way more. Aftermarket computers are more than HPT and OBD2 swap.

You dont get what im saying.... I mean to keep the 3.1 multiport but use the roller valve motor instead of the hydraulic valve motor because their more durable.

edit....This other option is also cheaper. And as I told you I'm on a budget. Also I'm just weighing all of my options here.

If you want cheap, then swap a whole 3400 in along with the computer the motor came from, do the wiring, and get back to normality.
Opening a motor just makes you spend more money in the long run, and if you need to burn a chip too.

How is swapping a wiring harness and OBD2 cheaper than installing a chip?

Fuck it.... you guys have no idea what I'm getting at...... 91 3.1 externals, wiring, and computer on 94 3100 internals..... you guys are indeed useless if I was gonna go full motor swap Id just go 3800 supercharged gtp motor in which I could throw a new supercharger on and make 250+ no problem for around $600.....

Im just gonna go back to the other forums where at least the guys understand what I'm trying to say.....
