ok i will say that it is possible to get around 300hp from a na 3100 but thats like balls to the wall no more mods to do type of thing, and you would need good headers, a custom ground roller cam and lifters, 2000+ intake and heads completely ported, high compression piston, and have your computer custom tuned with injectors and fuel pump to match consuption requirments. otherwise with a flat tappet cam you would have some serious problems with lack of lower end torque and idle resulting in the car being not cool to try to drive on the street. and oh yeah you would have to have solid lifters too
    did i forget anything guys

oh shit my bad i do have a roller cam and all the top end is 2004 shit. the heads are from a 2004 3.4 and the upper and lower intakes also. it also has new lifters roller rockers, has a bigger throttle body new injectors bigger fuel pump and the next step is the comp which i dont have the money for right know.

So wait you spent how much to have a motor built and they never ran it on a dyno? Becuz it is costamary when you build a race motor to put it on a dyno and run it, not only for tuning but so you know.

Notice everyhting rave just mentioned 95GPSS all the sudden has...

Oh yah exhaust is worthless without headers. What kind of headers do you have, and what are the specs?

What size is the new Throttle Body?

Also, when a motor place builds a race motor they rarely put on intake manifolds, becuz there is so much you can do up there. I mean if you have money. We DOHC guys are proposing variable throttle plates, Independent throttle bodies, and a gutted plenum. So this is why they don't, becuz you can do so much up there.

All in all, get pics, a dyno, a 1/4mi, ANYTHING to prove us wrong.

Roller lifters on a Gen2 block... perhaps if they are solid rollers...

Well, mechanical rollers versus hydraulic lifters.... Perhaps solid wasn't the correct wording. But the point is, the Gen2 block doesn't have the provisions for hydraulic roller lifters, therefore the only other thing it could be would be the mechanical rollers...
